WWW 69 Reunion - Main Events
A Magical History Tour - Our 40th H.S. Reunion
Aug 13-15, 2009
Memory Row: The theme of our 40th Reunion is "A Magical History Tour." We need each of you dig out items and bring them along for the display. We already have many items to display, but we'd would love to have more -- anything from our early childhoods through our WW High School years. Anything -- like maybe clip on skates with skate keys, Butch Wax, pointed toe shoes, Spoolies, anything related to Lakewood or Harrell's drug store, old class newspapers, etc., etc. ...You get the idea!
Thursday, Aug 13 - Kellers:
We will begin our 40 year reunion on Thursday, August 13, at Keller's for those who make it in early. We will rally there and see what happens.
Friday, Aug 14 - The Back Yard:
Friday night we will meet at The Back Yard, located at the Gaston/Garland Rd. and East Grand connection. The Wipe Outs will perform all evening; plus, we hope all you other talented musicians will join in as the urge hits you. This proved to be a very successful formula for the Class of 68's reunion. So bring your axes!
We have pre-ordered 2 kegs, bu hey, we would like to do more. Doing so will depend on how many of you respond by prepaying for the entire event.
$69.00 single, $96.00 for a pair
Saturday night we will gather at Winfrey Point at 7:00pm. The theme is casual with Hawaiian, Beach Boy, Hippy attire. The Exiles from the class of 67 will perform for us. BBQ will be provided by Back Country. If beef and sausage aren't your thing, send us an email, bring a sack-dinner, or order delivery.* We will be collecting items from local merchants for raffles between sets..
For those of you who want some quite time to chat with all your fellow classmates, there is a wrap-around porch that will be great for group conversations. Everyone is encouraged to pack a beach chair.
Buddy (John) Benda has opened his Fuel City for the taking... beer, wine, water, soft drinks, ice, etc. We are very indebted to Buddy for his generous contribution.
Volunteers Needed: We need several volunteers to help with the Reunion, especially with decorations and party ideas. If you'd like to help, contact us through the Contact Us page.
